26th protest in Tirana, citizens gather in "Skënderbej" Square

The organization of protesters has begun in "Skënderbej" Square in Tirana, where the 26th massive protest against the government is expected to take place.

Citizens have gathered in the center of the capital demanding the non-negotiable resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the removal of the current government.

Today's rally is considered one of the culminating moments of civic mobilization, after more than three weeks of uninterrupted protests that have continued every day in Tirana and several other cities.

The civic revolt has transformed into a broader political and social movement, directed against corruption, misgovernment, lack of accountability, and the massive exodus of young people from the country.

Protesters are expected to continue marching towards the country's main institutions, while calls for political change and the government's resignation remain at the center of the rally.
