CEC announces final election results in Kosovo tomorrow

The electoral process in Kosovo is drawing to a close. The Central Election Commission will meet on Saturday at 11:00 to announce the final results of the parliamentary elections held on June 7.

The meeting comes after the Supreme Court rejected the appeals of Democratic Party of Kosovo candidates Bekim Haxhiu and Qendrim Kryeziu, who requested a full recount of votes within the PDK.

The Supreme Court's decision has cleared the way for the CEC to officially conclude the election process and announce the final results.

According to preliminary results, the Vetëvendosje Movement is the most voted force and is expected to have 53 deputies in the Assembly. The Democratic Party of Kosovo ranks second with 22 mandates, while the Democratic League of Kosovo has secured 18 seats. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo is expected to be represented with 7 deputies.

After the publication of the final results, the certification process by the CEC will continue, paving the way for constitutional procedures for the constitution of the Assembly and the creation of the new government of Kosovo.
