Scorching weekend, June ends with high temperatures of up to 39 degrees

The weekend looks set to be scorching in our country, as warned by the weather forecaster of the Military Meteorological Service, Eneida Doçi.

"During this weekend we will have the penetration of humid air masses of southwesterly origin from the Azores anticyclone, but also air masses originating from northern Africa, which will bring hot weather throughout the territory for most of the day."

The weather will remain clear, with few passing clouds along the mountains in the afternoon and evening hours, while we will also have a significant increase in temperatures, both in minimum and maximum values.

The most sensitive temperatures will be in the low-lying areas, but also in the central and coastal areas, when minimum values ​​will be 26 degrees Celsius, while maximum values ​​are expected to reach 39 degrees Celsius, and this is for the midday hours.

During the next week we will also have a further increase in temperatures where the minimum values ​​will mark from 47 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius in the maximum ones. The wind will blow light with a main direction south-west and north-east with an average speed of 7 m/s while the waves at sea, low force 1-2.

"We will have clear weather throughout the territory, but there will be local average dense cloudiness, which will be accompanied by short-term showers and storms, but in mountainous areas," said weather forecaster Doçi on Top Channel.
