The number of students suspected of being poisoned by food consumed at the Security Academy, which was catered by the SORI-AL company, has reached 64.

In addition to the first 60 trainees, 4 others presented to the emergency room with the same symptoms.

Meanwhile, the Tirana Police and Prosecutor's Office continue investigations to determine the full causes of this event.

The file of the second poisoning is expected to be merged into a single one with the poisoning of the first case, an event that occurred at the beginning of May of this year.

In addition to the SORI-AL company, which provides catering services to the Academy, sources indicate that the investigations have also been extended to the AKU institution.

Sources explain that this institution is being investigated to verify whether or not, after the return of SARI-AL's activity at the Academy, it has conducted other inspections on its premises over the last 2 months.

It is also learned that the company's administrator, Alma Tafani, who has been under criminal investigation at large since the first poisoning of the students, is expected to be questioned today.

On the other hand, the investigative group is awaiting the results of the food sample analyses taken by the AKU, to determine the causes that led to the poisoning of 64 students.
