Berisha's flash visit to Berlin: Strong support for the DP, I denounced

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has made a quick visit to Berlin, as he wrote in a reaction on social networks, where he participated in the jubilee activity of the Parliamentary District of Medium-sized Enterprises (PKM) of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag and held a series of meetings with important personalities of German politics.
The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, announces that during the talks with deputies and senior officials of the CDU, he expressed his gratitude for the support for the Democratic Party and the Albanian opposition, while he introduced the interlocutors to what he described as the deep crisis that the country is going through under the government of Edi Rama.
According to him, the protests of Albanian youth and, as he expressed it, the cynical attitude of the “narco-government” towards their demands were also at the center of the discussions.

Reaction of the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha:

Flash trip to Berlin!

Dear friends,
On Thursday I left for a short trip to Berlin with two goals:

First: To participate, at the invitation of Mr. Christian Freiherr von Stetten MdB, Chairman of the Parliamentary Group for Medium-Sized Enterprises (PKM) of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag, in the 50th summer celebration of the PKM. This event took place that same day, June 25, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. in the Garden of the Kronprinzenpalais, in Berlin.

Secondly: To meet my distinguished German friends in the Bundestag, the CDU, to thank them with deep gratitude for their precious support to me, the Democratic Party and Albania.
The 50th BMP celebration in the gardens of the Crown Prince's Palace lasted several hours and was a truly wonderful festive environment, bringing together hundreds of deputies, CDU politicians and businessmen close to this party. The celebration was greeted by Chancellor Friedrich Merz. There I had the opportunity to meet, greet and talk with many deputies of the Bundestag, officials, journalists and German businessmen, and therefore I warmly thank the chairman, Mr. Christian Freiherr von Stetten MdB, for the honor he did me with his invitation.
During my short stay outside the holiday, together with the Vice-Chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, Tomor Alizoti, we had special meetings in the Bundestag with:
Mr. Tilman Kuban, Spokesperson for European Policy of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group;
Mr. Christian Kremer, Head of the CDU International Relations Office;
My distinguished friends of the DP and Albania: Peter Beyer, Rapporteur of the CDU/CSU Group for Transatlantic Relations and the Western Balkans;
Olav Gutting, an important figure of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group for Finance and Budget;
Elmar Brok, a distinguished figure of the CDU, former Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Security and Human Rights Committee for two decades in the European Parliament;
Peter Tiede of the German daily Bild, a journalist well-known for his positions in defense of political pluralism in Russia, Albania and other autocratic dictatorships.
In all these meetings, I expressed my deep gratitude to our friends, the CDU and the Bundestag, for their support for Albania, the Democratic Party and the opposition in Albania. I also informed my interlocutors about the deep crisis that the country is going through under the autocratic dictatorship of Edi Rama, about the just demands of the Albanian youth in the longest and most powerful protest in the history of Albania, as well as about the cynical attitude of Edi Rama and his narco-government towards these demands.
During my stay in Berlin, I met and was welcomed by my friend, former MP and former Deputy Minister of Kosovo Gani Dreshaj, and other representatives of the diaspora, whom I thank very warmly for the hospitality and facilities they created for us during our stay in Germany.
