The former director of the Shkodra Police, Gentian Berberi, has been expelled from the ranks of the State Police following a disciplinary procedure conducted by the Directorate of Professional Standards.

The decision is not yet final, as it is expected to be reviewed by the Appeals Committee.

The barber was previously suspended from duty and a disciplinary investigation was opened against him following an incident that occurred at the premises of the General Directorate of the State Police. He was transferred to another sector after leaving the leadership of the Shkodra Police, citing poor performance in the fight against cannabis cultivation.

According to administrative sources, while in his new position, he was involved in a verbal conflict in the Human Resources Department, following dissatisfaction with his assigned position, which was later reported as inappropriate behavior in the workplace.

The Human Resources Director filed a criminal complaint with the Police Supervision Agency, claiming that she was insulted and threatened while performing her duties.
