Berisha: I am against towers, I did not sign any when I was prime minister

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has declared that he is categorically against the construction of towers in Albania, emphasizing that during his time as prime minister, he did not sign any permits for such constructions and that he will never sign any in the future.

During a conversation with citizens on social media, Berisha was asked about the phenomenon of towers and the allegations of their connection to money laundering, while he repeated the accusations against Edi Rama's government, linking the development of this sector to, according to him, corrupt and criminal interests.

Berisha accused the prime minister of favoring high-rise construction for economic benefits and money laundering, while emphasizing that his stance remains unchanged against any tower project in the country.

Sali Berisha: Thank you for the question. Regarding the towers, what has been the position of the DP government? No towers in any city in any country in Albania.
The tower has the mountains Albania. There is no need for towers.
The general regulatory plan of Tirana, approved by the Albanian government in 2011, did not allow constructions of a maximum of 8 floors in Tirana. And those are rare.
Edi Rama, who according to the OSCE report came to power with 200 million euros deposited in offshore banks, all construction fines, returned to the towers because there he makes fabulous profits and launders the money of the criminal clans he leads, the drug cartels.
The most hypocritical, the lowest was when, although I have declared the towers as ugly monuments of corruption and drugs, in response, oppositionists and supporters of Edi Rama were found to smear Sali Berisha and say that his son was a shareholder in the Mountain of Tirana.
Now that the Aruba file has come to us and Altin Troplini has it in his hands, these hypocrites, to justify Edi Rama, to make it easier for Edi Rama, chose one of the lowest, most stale slanders.
I hear slander without any morality that in this tower and in that tower, that Berisha does not speak here, he does not speak there.
Sali Berisha is categorically against the towers. Absolutely!
As long as he has been prime minister, he has not signed any and will never sign any.
This is his position.
Edi Rama is for the towers because he launders tons of drugs and he himself acquires entire floors.
If Lubia has 320 apartments counted, Edi Rama's apartments could be thousands and thousands.
