MEPs join protest in Tirana, revolt against government enters 28th day

Tirana is expected to be at the center of protests again this Saturday, as anti-government rallies enter their 28th consecutive day. Organizers have called for a nationwide mobilization, inviting citizens from all regions of the country, as well as Albanians living abroad, to join the demonstration.

Citizens have begun gathering at "Skënderbej" Square, while a march is planned to follow towards "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, where the protest will take place in front of the Prime Minister's Office building.

According to the organizers, today's protest aims to be one of the largest since the movement's inception, while a special element is expected to be the presence of several MEPs, who are in Tirana to closely follow the situation and political developments.

Even at this rally, the protesters' demands remain unchanged. They demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the establishment of a transitional technical government, and the guarantee of equality of citizens before the law.
