"Crime Parliament", plenary session begins with protests outside the

Dozens of protesters gathered this morning in front of the Parliament premises, chanting slogans such as "Parliament of crime" and "Illiterate Parliament", on the eve of the plenary session that began at 10:00.

The rally follows yesterday's protest, which called for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Today, participants have also expressed their dissatisfaction with the government.

Meanwhile, there are 8 draft resolutions for the evaluation of the activity during 2025 of independent institutions that dominate the agenda in today's parliamentary session.


Specifically, draft resolutions for the Commissioner for Civil Service Supervision, the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection, the Department of Public Administration, the Competition Authority, the Public Procurement Commission, the Authority for Information on Former State Security Documents, the Institute for Studies on Crimes and Consequences of Communism, and the Deposit Insurance Agency will be reviewed.

Agenda:

I. Meeting of the Assembly in plenary session on 30.6.2026, 10:00.

II. The agenda of the plenary session is as follows:

1. Approval of the minutes of the plenary session of 18.6.2026.

2. Notifications.

3. Draft law "On official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the implementation of legislation on food and feed, animal health and welfare regulations, as well as plant health and plant protection products in the Republic of Albania".

4. Draft resolution "On the evaluation of the activity of the Commissioner for the Supervision of the Civil Service for the year 2025".

5. Draft resolution "On the evaluation of the activity of the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection for the year 2025".

6. Draft resolution "On the evaluation of the activity of the Department of Public Administration for the year 2025".

7. Draft resolution "On the evaluation of the annual activity of the Competition Authority for the year 2025".

8. Draft resolution "On the evaluation of the annual activity of the Public Procurement Commission for the year 2025".

9. Draft resolution "On the evaluation of the annual activity of the Authority for Information on Former State Security Documents for the year 2025".

10. Draft resolution "On the evaluation of the annual activity of the Institute for Studies on the Crimes and Consequences of Communism for the year 2025".

11. Draft resolution "On the assessment of the activity of the Deposit Insurance Agency for the year 2025"

12. Discussions on matters outside the agenda.

III. The services of the Assembly are charged with publishing the agenda of the plenary session, notifying the members of the Assembly through electronic means of communication, and preparing the parliamentary documentation to be reviewed.

IV. This order shall enter into force immediately.
