Democratic Party MP Saimir Korreshi has denounced the condition of the irrigation canal that passes through the city of Lushnja, accusing the city's institutions of negligence.

According to Korreshi, the canal is blocked by plastic cans and garbage, turning into a source of pollution, with a strong odor, mosquitoes, and the risk of spreading infections.

In his reaction, which was not lacking in tones of cynicism, the democratic deputy called on the government and the Municipality of Lushnja to return taxes to citizens in the form of services.

"When plastic cans and garbage invade and block the irrigation canal that runs through Lushnja, for residents there can only be the smell of carrion, mosquitoes, and a source of infection.

"I call on the Government and the Municipality: return the taxes on services to citizens! Always, if we don't ruin your beach on a Sunday," writes Korreshi.
