Murder of Martin Can, Court of Appeals requests psychological evaluation for
Luis Mecja and Martin Cami

The Court of Appeal has decided to partially reopen the examination of the case related to the murder of Martin Cani, ordering the conduct of a psychological examination for the minor Mario Përlleshaj, convicted as the perpetrator of the incident, as well as for Luis Mecjan, who was injured.

By decision of the trial panel, two psychologists have been assigned to conduct a psychological assessment of both minors, following meetings and interviews with each of them.

The expertise was requested as part of the further examination of the case, with the aim of assessing the psychological state of the persons involved and the circumstances of the event.

The next hearing is scheduled for July 1, when the expert reports are expected to be filed and the trial will continue with their review. We recall that in the first instance, Mario Përlleshaj was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the murder of Martin Can.
