The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has asked MP Marjana Koçeku to surrender her parliamentary mandate, following her involvement in the protests and departure from the party's positions.

At the end of the parliamentary group meeting, Balla argued that Koçek did not receive a direct vote from the citizens, but came to the Assembly through the Socialist Party lists, linking the legitimacy of the mandate to the trust of the party that proposed him.

"A person who does not know how to respect those who elected him, and I want to tell you the person in question was elected by the SP, should hand over the mandate that the SP gave him, because he is not a directly elected person, when he is directly elected he has the right to use the mandate," Balla said during the meeting.
