Six MEPs join the protest against Rama

The civic protest taking place this Monday in front of the Prime Minister's Office building in Tirana has been joined by six MEPs, who have expressed interest in the political situation and democratic developments in Albania.

The delegation was led by MEP Tineke Strik and included representatives of political forces from Germany, the Netherlands and Italy. Their presence at the protest was seen as a sign of the attention that European institutions and representatives are paying to developments in the country.

During the rally, MEPs addressed the protesters, emphasizing the importance of respecting democratic standards, the rule of law and listening to citizens' demands. In their messages, they called on the Albanian authorities to show a willingness for dialogue and to take the voices of the protesters into consideration.
