The Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, has made public a letter from the leader of this political force, Ilir Meta, addressed to lawyer Kujtim Cakrani, through which he announces the decision to no longer be represented by him in legal proceedings.
In the published letter, Meta argues that the decision comes as a result of the complexity and burden of the cases he is pursuing, both in the substantive process and in the procedures expected to take place at the European Court of Human Rights.
According to him, the situation requires continuous and dedicated commitment from a single lawyer.
"Thanking you for your cooperation so far and hoping for your understanding, due not only to your numerous and increased commitments, while the burden of my case, not only in substance, but also for the ECHR, requires updated and permanent commitment, I have decided to have a lawyer who will deal only with my case and who will be at my disposal at all times," Meta's letter states.
In the same communication, Meta asks lawyer Cakrani to submit all documentation to date to the Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, while explaining that financial matters will be covered by his family members.
He also announced that the Special Court will be notified of the change in legal representation.
