Braho: SPAK is considering the possibility of carrying out its own arrests of

The head of SPAK, Klodjan Braho, has announced that the institution he leads is considering a new approach to the execution of security measures against wanted persons, not ruling out the possibility that SPAK itself could engage in arrest operations.

Responding to a question from Democratic MP Gjin Gjoni, Braho admitted that it remains problematic that a number of people with security measures or convicted in absentia have not yet been arrested.

" We have several wanted persons, against whom security measures have been imposed or who have been sentenced in absentia, but the decisions for them have not been executed. This is a real concern," declared Braho.

He said it could not be determined whether this situation was related to a lack of opportunities or other factors, but stressed that the result remains unacceptable.

"We cannot say whether this is happening intentionally or due to impossibility, but the fact is that the decisions are not being implemented. For this reason, SPAK is considering a different reaction in the institutional aspect. It is still too early to provide details, but the goal is to create the capacities to carry out these actions of an operational nature ourselves," said the head of SPAK.
