Activist denounces after clashes at protest: Police threw pepper spray at us for

Some protesters have shown health problems during clashes with police forces in front of the Parliament, after the use of pepper spray or tear gas by the officers.

Among the injured is activist Luçiana Kokaj, who stated that she received limited medical assistance and that the situation for her and several others deteriorated at the scene.

According to her, even though an ambulance arrived, they were not allowed to be transported to the hospital, and were then held in a facility near the protest area. Kokaj also claimed that the police intervention was excessive and was documented on video.

"We were in front of the Parliament, then the police threw pepper spray at us for bears. We called the ambulance, there were two or three of them. The ambulance came, but they took me out of the ambulance, the police came, they didn't even give me first aid."

Meanwhile, my skin is burning and I can't stand it anymore. With this burn that I have, I definitely need to get medical help because my skin can't stand it. And they left me like this, they locked us here in the cafe, they even locked the door. The police only took their colleagues in the ambulance and left us here.

"They threw spray paint or whatever and left us in this state. They were provoking, we didn't do anything, one of the policemen threw spray paint and all the cameras caught it. They threw spray paint at the protesters, I saw it with my own eyes, the cameras caught it too," said the activist.
