Rama's MP calls protesters "scoundrels": The government did not

Socialist Party MP Sara Mila described the protesters who were assaulted today as they expressed their revolt in front of Parliament as "anti-Albanian mobs".

Invited to the show "Off the Record" on A2 CNN, Mila made a distinction between those she called "flamingos", citizens protesting for a cause, and the other group who, according to her, used the protest to incite clashes with the police.

The MP did not say a word about the violence exerted by the police against citizens, and even claimed that the government itself did not provoke the protesters at any point.

"There is a division among the flamingos who really have a cause and who you will soon hear will receive an answer for that cause, together with the prime minister and the relevant bodies. It is certain that an agreement will be reached initially on information and transparency, then to reach some concrete conclusions regarding the environmental criteria that that very good project for Albania will have to pass. There is definitely a division among the flamingos who really came out and believed and hoped that it could be a different protest. The Albanian government accommodated it as a different protest, not limiting, not harassing or provoking at any moment the protest that was showing the world how democratic Albania was. In the meantime, there is also the presence of these anti-Albanian crows who came out today with voice and figure. We are dealing with an exit to the origins of those people who have always loved Albania like this, chaos, Molotov cocktails, violence, escalation. They are the same actors but with different faces, they hate Albania's progress. Not "They don't even want to see Albania in the EU ," said Mila.
