Arrested after 32 days of protest, GoFundMe campaign for Altin Hila and his

A fundraising campaign has been launched on the GoFundMe platform to financially support Altin Hila and his family, following his arrest during the protest held the day before in front of the Parliament.

Altin Hila became known during the protests after participating in rallies for 32 consecutive days accompanied by his son, who is a person with disability status.

Footage posted on social media, where he feeds his son through a gastric tube from his stomach during the protest, was widely shared.

According to data published on GoFundMe , so far the campaign has raised over 95 thousand euros from various donors, who aim to help the family cope with economic difficulties.

In the campaign description, the organizers state that the Hila family has been experiencing financial difficulties for years and that Altin Hila was raped by State Police officers during the protest, before being arrested. According to them, his arrest has further aggravated the family's situation, leaving them without their daily support.

"As a sign of solidarity for our patriot Mr. Altin Hila who protested for 32 days with his paralyzed child, as shown in the attached photos with disability status, we are raising funds to alleviate their family situation a little.

In addition to the fact that the state has not provided economic assistance over the years, today he was raped by the State Police during the protest and arrested, leaving the family in an even more miserable situation without his physical presence.

"Direct contact with Mr. Hila's wife, Mrs. Lindita 686630634,"  the announcement published on GoFundMe states.
