The United States of America celebrates today the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, one of the most important dates in the country's history.

On this occasion, the US Embassy in Tirana has sent a congratulatory message through social media, joining the celebrations taking place across the United States.

In a post published on the official Facebook page, the embassy writes:

" Happy 250th Anniversary, America! We are celebrating 250 years of history, freedom, and the bright future ahead."

Independence Day, celebrated every July 4, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, a document that marked the birth of the United States as an independent nation.
