A new US Congressional document has attracted attention, where an amendment proposed by the Republican representative of South Carolina includes Albania in a section related to security in the Balkans.

According to the text, the US Secretary of State, in cooperation with the Director of National Intelligence, will prepare a classified report within 180 days on the level of drug trafficking in Albania, as well as on the possible role of state institutions in facilitating this phenomenon, writes Politiko.al.

The document also mentions examining foreign influence in the region, including Serbia and Russian and Chinese interventions.

Albania's inclusion in such a document in the US Congress, writes Politiko.al, has undoubtedly 'shaken' Rama well.
