Protesters march to Tirana Court today: Release the kids!

Following Saturday's massive protest, organizers, activists, and citizens will march to the Tirana Courthouse today, at around 9:00 AM.

Today's rally will be moved in front of the Tirana Court, which is located next to the SPAK structure, precisely at the moment when security measures are expected to be given to the protesters arrested on July 2.

This reaction comes after strong clashes occurred on Thursday during the plenary session, where protesters threw stones and eggs at the police, while the latter responded with water and tear gas.

After blocking the exits to Parliament and tensions that spread to several streets in the capital, police escorted 18 people and arrested 9 of them, leaving both officers and citizens injured.

Organizers consider these arrests completely illegal and political.

Today's march, which is expected to start in front of the court, is a direct continuation of the resistance that began yesterday evening.

After the central rally, citizens marched until after midnight in front of Police Station No. 3 on “Mine Peza” street with continuous calls for “free our boys”.

This rite of solidarity will culminate today in front of the black platoons, where the only demand remains the immediate release of those arrested.
