IKM action in Theth, residents come out in protest

Residents of the tourist village of Theth took to the streets this Wednesday morning in protest to oppose the IKMT's action to remove illegally constructed buildings, mainly those adapted for tourist guesthouses.

It is reported that residents have blocked the entrance to the main bridge leading to the village and are opposing the IKMT action.

The IKMT operation began after the denunciation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who also harshly criticized the actions of the Shkodra prosecutor, who, according to him, had not initiated criminal cases for these objects.

Residents express concern about the consequences that the removal of the facilities will have on tourism development and the local economy, demanding an open dialogue with the authorities.

The situation remains calm, while the continuation of the action and the official reaction of the relevant institutions are awaited.
