Spices that protect you from mosquitoes!

In summer we can enjoy the beach, nature walks, parties with friends, birds chirping, beautiful tans, and ice cream.

But unfortunately, even the summer season has an element that ruins the fun of all of these above activities.

It's about mosquitoes. The latter have recently received extensive media coverage due to the outbreak of the Zika virus.

1. Vanilla Extract
Mix it with any type of unscented cream in a ratio of 1 to 10 and apply to all exposed areas of your body.

2. Basil, eucalyptus, or clove essential oil
Add five to ten drops of essential oil to a glass of water and dab it on areas not covered by clothing. You can also dab a piece of cotton with it and place it on your windows to keep mosquitoes away.

3. Lavender
Mosquitoes can't stand the smell of lavender, whether fresh, dried, or in oil form. Luckily, lavender is used in aromatherapy treatments as a natural remedy for calm and anxiety. You can use lavender on clothes, on your skin, or simply as a flower in your home.

4. Clove Seeds
Take five grams of clove seeds and boil them in a glass of water. 10 drops of this liquid with a little alcohol are enough to apply to all exposed areas of the body.

5. Juniper
If you have organized an outdoor activity, throw some juniper branches into the campfire and mosquitoes will not bother you.

One of the oldest medicinal plants has a paralyzing effect on insect nerve cells. So you can dry it and scatter it around your home.

7. Fresh basil or tomato leaves

Mosquitoes cannot tolerate the smell these plants emit, so don't hesitate to use them.

According to scientific data, mosquitoes stay away from those who eat a lot of garlic. But remember that if you eat a lot of garlic, people will stay away from you too, so don't overdo it.

If a mosquito manages to bite you, you can take the following actions to escape that horrible sensation of endless itching.

You can put a little honey on the bite area. However, you should be careful trying this at home, because honey can attract other insects.

You can use Aloe Vera. But fresh basil leaves also help by reducing bloating. You can use a paste prepared from aspirin and water or a simple toothpaste.
