Prime Minister Edi Rama arrived this afternoon at the Fier municipality, where he threatened local leaders with a wave of dismissals, calling this a "self-cleansing action".

According to Top Channel, Rama has requested the resignation of all managers who depend on the municipality, as well as the heads of institutions who have not fulfilled their duties.

Rama was seen entering the municipality building together with Mayor Armando Subashi and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, who is also the political leader of the Socialist Party in the Fier region.

After his intervention in the Municipality of Vlora, where several heads of institutions were dismissed, Rama seems to have no intention of stopping, even though the local autonomy law prohibits the direct involvement of the executive in appointments or dismissals in local government.
