The Supreme Court's decision on Salianji, the DP reacts: A political prisoner being held hostage by the party-state

The Democratic Party has reacted after the Supreme Court rejected Ervin Salianj's appeal and left him in prison.

In a statement to the media, the deputy leader of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, said that the Supreme Court decided today to continue with the distortion of justice and its political use. 

He adds that leaving MP Salianji in prison shows once again that Edi Rama will not give up his paranoia to control the justice system and use it to hit political opponents.

The Supreme Court today decided to continue with the distortion of justice and its political use, leaving Ervin Salianji in prison. The DP MP has been in Fier prison since October of last year, with a political order implemented and maintained in force today by the political justice of the Rama-Xhafaj duo.

The imprisonment of MP Ervin Salianji shows once again that Edi Rama will not give up his paranoia to control the justice system and use it to hit political opponents.

Ervin Salianji did nothing else but denounce an individual convicted of drug trafficking in Italy, the brother of one of Rama's deputies, drafter of the failed justice reform, Fatmir Xhafaj.

The Democratic Party regrets the inability of the Supreme Court to rise to the height of its constitutional role and its political use.

We condemn the political use of justice, but also the subjugation or collaboration with the evil of judges or prosecutors.

Salianji is one of three opposition political prisoners held hostage by the party-state, which seeks to perpetuate the narco-state through the guise of justice.

He is the young politician who was imprisoned because he raised his voice when he saw people in power rising up against Albania by cannabizing its territory. 

On May 11, the answer will be clear and plebiscite-like for both the order-givers and the servants of this political hostage-taking by the court.

Rama's electoral program is precisely this: protect Albania's cannabis and drug trafficking system, and punish its whistleblowers.

Behind every decision is Rama, and Rama will be the first with an answer to give when justice protects the state, not the government.
