Berisha from Milan: Italy has always opened its doors to Albanians, driven out

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha held a meeting with Albanians in Milan.

Berisha said that Italy has always opened its doors to Albanians who were expelled by Rama's narco-dictatorship.

Berisha: Your enthusiasm, energy, love for the country, free people, ardent patriots are melting today the winter frost of the narco-dictatorship in Albania, and are bringing the blessed spring of democracy.

Unlimited gratitude for this such ardent reception. Receptions that are turning into the most beautiful anthem of the return of the Democratic Party, of the victory of the Albanian opposition.

It is a great pleasure to meet you today, a meeting in Milan, the city of the most distinguished Italian friend of Albanians, the immortal friend of Albania and Sali Berisha, Silvio Berlusconi.

This meeting in Italy, in a friendly country tested in the most difficult times for Albanians. Therefore, a special thanks goes to your friends in this country, to the great Italian nation, for everything they have done for Albania, for Albanians.

My friends, Albania's relations with Italy are hundreds of years old, but we Albanians have a saying: a good friend in difficult times. And the Italians have found refuge for the Albanians in their most difficult days, during the Ottoman occupation, hundreds of thousands of Albanians found refuge in this blessed country. After the fall of the communist dictatorship, Italy was the first country that Albanians sought as the promised land to escape the terrible pains of the dictatorship's poverty.

During these years of narco-dictatorship, this nation, this friendly country, once again opened its doors and hearts to Albanians driven out by Edi Rama's narco-dictatorship. Therefore, let us express together an boundless gratitude to our Italian friends and friendly Italy.
