The Special Court today upheld the 'house arrest' measure for lawyer Bardhi Koçi, who is accused of exercising illegal influence.

At the request of SPAK, the Special Court has issued two security measures for the criminal offense of "exercising illegal influence on the justice system" and "Abuse of office".

"House arrest" has been imposed on lawyer Bardhi Koçi, while a security measure of "Obligation to appear" has been imposed on a woman (client), who was in conflict with the law when the criminal offense was committed.

According to SPAK, Bardhi Koçi, at the time the criminal act was committed, was an Auditor at the Supreme State Audit Office, and asked a citizen for 4 thousand euros, promising to help her by intervening in a court, as she was accused by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office of "Forgery of documents".

As an advance, lawyer Bardhi Koçi received an amount of 1 thousand euros, while another 3 thousand would be given to him at the conclusion of the case in the Tirana Court.

Also during this investigation, in order to search for evidence, searches were conducted in the homes of four citizens, including that of a criminal expert and an officer of the Judicial Police at the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.
