Kosovo elections, Prosecutor Pula: 6 people arrested for violations

Prosecutor Laura Pula stated that the State Prosecutor has made all necessary preparations to ensure the protection of the vote in the elections for the Assembly of Kosovo held today.

She said that by 3 pm, six people have been arrested for election violations.

Pula stressed that these cases cannot be considered small or large, and that up to 100 prosecutors in 38 Kosovo municipalities have been engaged to oversee the election process.

She added that the Prosecution has been committed since 7 am to ensure the sovereign's vote is preserved and to act in any case that there may be violation of the right to vote.

"We are ready to react to any violations that occur, and initiate any case involving violations of voting rights, which includes 11 serious criminal offences," Pula said. She also stressed that the prosecution and the investigator are working closely and in coordination to ensure the electoral process and take measures against those acting against the law.
