UEFA raises alarm over footballers' high salaries

UEFA's latest club licensing report provides a detailed analysis of the financial situation of European football. UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin expressed his concern about the rising operating costs of clubs, noting that, while most are managing wage increases responsibly, other expenses are growing rapidly, creating significant pressure on financial balance sheets.

This is a significantly higher figure than the pre-pandemic period.

2. Manchester City – €554 million

3. Real Madrid – €505 million

5. Liverpool – €449 million

6. Bayern Munich – €430 million

7. Manchester United – €429 million
