Berisha: I do not accept an institution like SPAK, which has no control

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has given the DP's guarantee that law enforcement and the zero-tolerance fight against organized crime and corruption remain unchanging objectives for the party he leads.

Berisha said he does not accept that an institution like SPAK, which has no control whatsoever, records the phones of judges to whom it sends files.

"I assure you that for the DP, law enforcement and the fight with zero tolerance against organized crime and corruption remain unchanging objectives. But what I have said is that Albania does not have and cannot have political justice."

Political justice that is the product of the brutal intervention of Edi Rama and the previous State Department.

It must be acknowledged that senior American diplomats such as Gabriel Escobar and Yuri Kim have publicly called for the persecution of Sali Berisha and his imprisonment.

So do I agree with a political prosecution? Never.

Because agreeing with a political prosecution means agreeing with a dictatorship. That cannot happen.

But, having said that, then the path is one of reformation.

The path of reform cannot be taken without the best expertise of the Venice Commission, a commission that is the best lawmaker that exists to my knowledge.

Secondly, I have spoken out for reform. I do not accept an institution that does not have any kind of control. That institution is without control. This institution by the Constitution should have control like any other institution.

Thirdly, I cannot accept that this institution records the phones of judges where it takes files. This is not right. I understand that there should be an institution that should record phones, but this constitutes an absolute conflict of interest.

And I guarantee that any person who has the most basic knowledge of how the justice system works will find this unacceptable.

We will work with the best experts to restore international standards in the functioning of the justice system in Albania.

There is no kind of vengeful or destructive attitude except that a political prosecution can never be accepted because it is accepting dictatorship.

If you arrest the three leaders of the three main opposition parties, in a word, this ends.

Let Edi Rama forget that he can unite votes for his own purposes, to protect corruption and organized crime.

What were those scenes you saw? A public trial with the parliamentary group, half of them with files in the prosecutor's office, against a process in which the food laboratory does not exist even though a lot of money was paid.

Where did Edi Rama get this great compassion? He has his own problems. He has his own personal problems.

Because the McGonigal file has started moving. Not only has it stood up, but it is moving, it is headed towards Albania and there is nothing that can save it.

This is a figurative way. That if she stands up, she has nowhere to go. That McGonigal is Edi Rama.

You've noticed that they're not talking about the New York file, they're only talking about the Albanian file now in Washington. She stood up, she's coming, she's headed towards Albania.

In Albania there are two references, Edi Rama and Damiani.

Damiani says that I have testified. Absolutely I have, that Edi Rama has charged Damiani.

So in this regard, Rama is completely hopeless and I assure you that Albanian Albania, emerging from the May 11 elections, will extradite Edi Rama if the Washington court requests extradition, or will punish him in Albania according to the rules and law.

The file says, that's where the money from Edi Rama's office went to McGonigal. There is no more corrupt, more shameful act of the highest level. You can't put that in your pocket anymore.

"I told you, President Donald Trump cut off the head of the snake. The one who protected him is no more. He is no longer here. Albanian citizens are up to this point with Edi Rama ," Berisha said.
