Pristina Basic Court: Kurti must testify on March 4 at the Special Prosecution
The Basic Court of Pristina has issued an order requiring Prime Minister Albin Kurti to appear before the Special Prosecution Office as a witness in the state reserves case.

The order to appear at the prosecution as a witness comes on the day when the Prime Minister's Office announced that it has addressed a letter to the Basic Court in Pristina, requesting that it force the Special Prosecution Office to take the testimony of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, inside his office in the Government.

The spokesperson for the Basic Court, Mirlinda Gash, confirmed that the preliminary procedure judge issued the order for evidence based on the request of the Special Prosecution Office.

"We inform you that the Basic Court in Pristina - Special Department, at the request of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, by Court Order dated 21.02.2025, has obliged witness AK to appear as a witness to give his testimony on 04.03.2025 at 10:00, at the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo. The Basic Court in Pristina - Special Department, on 28.02.2025, received the response of the Prime Minister's Office via email regarding the above-mentioned Court Order ," said Gashi.

On February 19, the Basic Court confirmed that the Special Prosecution Office had asked it to order Prime Minister Kurti to appear as a witness in an open case regarding suspicions of misuse of state reserves, after Kurti had refused two previous invitations.
