An accident occurred this Saturday afternoon at the entrance to the Levan-Tepelena highway intersection. A heavy vehicle went off the road and ended up in a canal.

It is learned that the vehicle was traveling from Gjirokastra towards Tirana and was loaded with kitchen utensils and glassware. It is suspected that the cause of the accident was the vehicle's steering wheel locking.

Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle escaped without injury, but the material damage is reported to be considerable due to the load. Police are at the scene and are working to fully clarify the case.
