Astrit Sinanaj is arrested in Tirana, he tried twice to kill a businessman

Astrit Sinanaj, 49 years old, was handcuffed by the police in the capital, following an order of the Prosecutor issued on June 13, 2025. He is accused of a series of serious criminal offenses, including two attempts to murder a businessman.

According to the official announcement, the Court of Appeals of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana has upheld the decision of the Court of Elbasan, which sentenced Sinanaj to 22 years in prison. Of these, he has 13 years left to suffer.

He is charged with "Intentional murder, committed in a very dangerous way for the lives of many people", remaining attempted, "Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition", "Destruction of property with explosives", as well as "Removal of the prisoner from the place of stay".
