A serious road accident occurred in the early hours of this morning on the national axis Fier-Lushnje, near the area known as "driver's rest".

According to preliminary data, a "Benz AMG" type vehicle, which was moving at very high speed, hit a passenger van traveling to Rinas airport from behind. As a result of the collision, the "Benz" broke the protective barriers of the road and ended up in a drainage channel on the side of the highway, where it was engulfed in flames.

The four people who were in the luxury vehicle managed to get out of the vehicle before it was completely burned, and were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the passenger van ended up a few hundred meters further from the crash site. All seven passengers suffered injuries, while two of them are in serious condition at the Regional Hospital of Lushnja.
