Investigations by the Carabinieri in the city of Asti, coordinated by the local Prosecutor's Office, have uncovered a shocking scandal that took place within the walls of the private nursery "Albero dei Ragazzi". According to reports by the Italian news agency "ANSA", young children were treated inhumanely by educators, through physical and psychological violence and constant insults.

Security camera footage from the daycare center documented horrific episodes: children were forcibly pulled to prevent them from moving from their seats, punished without reason, and forced to sit on the floor in corners of the room as a form of punishment. A child of Albanian origin was repeatedly insulted, while another black child was insulted with the racist word “Zulù”.

The scandal doesn't stop there. According to investigators, a little girl was given food taken from the trash can to eat, while one of the educators checked the children's bags to take food prepared by their parents.

The Carabinieri have described the situation as "miserable and sad", where despite a pleasant and playful environment for the children, fear, terror and anxiety prevailed.

As a result of these shocking facts, the Court of Asti has ordered a temporary ban on the practice of the profession for two educators, who are accused of complicity in the mistreatment of minors entrusted to them. Investigations into the serious incident are still ongoing.
