40-year-old arrested for stealing hospital employees' bags

A 40-year-old man has been arrested by police in Elbasan after stealing the bags of hospital employees in this city.

On June 11, A.Ç. stole the bags of 3 employees at the Elbasan hospital, while at midnight on the 12th, he forced open the door of a store in the "Sul Paprri" neighborhood, stealing electronic equipment. Meanwhile, investigations continue into other thefts that the 40-year-old may have committed.

On the 11th, he stole money from the bags of 3 employees at the Elbasan hospital and one night later, he broke into a store and stole electronic equipment, the 40-year-old was caught.

The arrested person, previously convicted of the same criminal offense.

They are found in an abandoned apartment and the stolen equipment is seized.

As a result of the immediate administration of the reports of 4 citizens for theft, the services of the Elbasan Police Commissariat, within the framework of the "Skeda" operation, identified, located and arrested the suspected perpetrator of these cases, citizen A. Ç. alias AB, 40 years old, resident of Elbasan.

From the investigative actions it is suspected that:

-during the night of 11.06.2025, at the Elbasan Regional Hospital, he stole sums of money from the bags of 3 employees;

-around midnight on 12.06.2025, after breaking the door of a shop in the "Sul Paprri" neighborhood, he stole electronic equipment there, which were found by the Police services in an abandoned apartment in the same neighborhood.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover other thefts that the 40-year-old may have committed.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, for further action.
