The hearing at the GJKKO for Erion Veliaj has been postponed, where SPAK was to present the two-month report on the investigations against the mayor of Tirana.

The reason is said to be the absence in court of businessman Elman Abule, who is under house arrest.

The session will take place on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.

In this session, it was expected that SPAK would present to the court two months of information regarding the investigations into the mayor, who has been in custody since February 10 on charges of corruption and money laundering.

At the conclusion of the reporting session to be held on Tuesday, SPAK is expected to express whether the security measure "prison arrest" should remain in force or can be relaxed.

Veliaj's lawyer, Ermir Beta, has stated to News24 that he will consider the possibility of requesting relief from the security measure, depending on the content of the investigative actions that will be presented to the GJKKO.
