Israel confirms US support for the neutralization of missiles by Iran

Israel has confirmed that the United States and several other allied countries played a key role in neutralizing missiles launched by Iran on Friday evening.

The news was announced by two Israeli sources for CNN, who said that international aid was essential for the country's air defenses.

According to one of the sources, in addition to the US, several other countries in the region also offered support, helping to capture missiles in a similar way to their interventions during the April 2024 attacks.

In April last year, Iran had fired over 300 shells at Israel, including about 170 drones and over 120 ballistic missiles.

According to the Israeli military, 99% of them were neutralized thanks to Israel's air defense systems and the help of "international partners".

Tensions in the region remain high, while air interventions and exchanges of fire between the parties are reviving fears of a possible military escalation.
