The Dibra Court has ordered "prison arrest" for Hazbi Velsula, 32, the suspected perpetrator of the murder of his cousin, Selim Velsula, 65, a serious crime that occurred on June 11 in the village of Xibër-Murriz in Klos.

During the court hearing, Velsula refused to give any statement before the black squads, refusing to cooperate with investigators and requesting the presence of a defense attorney.

According to the Police, the incident occurred after a physical conflict between two cousins ​​for weak motives, which ended tragically with the fatal stabbing of the 65-year-old man.

After the crime, the perpetrator left the scene and hid in his brother's apartment in the Allias area of ​​Tirana, where he was caught by officers of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, thanks to information obtained through operational means.

" As material evidence, a cold weapon (knife) was seized, which is suspected to have been used by the perpetrator at the time of the crime ," the official Police announcement states.

The incident has shocked local residents and family members, while investigations continue to fully elucidate the circumstances and motives of this serious incident.

Hazbi Velsula is expected to face charges of intentional murder, which provides for severe penalties under the Criminal Code.
