With these 5 ways, you can cope with the heat even at home

Hot temperatures have been hitting our country for days, and if you have to spend time in the city without having the opportunity to go to the beach, you should keep in mind some tips on how to successfully cope with them.

What should you do to cope with the heat these days?

Stay fresh.

It may sound obvious, but if your body heat reaches 40°C, this requires urgent medical attention, as it can lead to loss of consciousness, organ dysfunction, and even fatal consequences.

Take care of your nutrition and hydration.

Stay hydrated by drinking water (and avoid diuretics like caffeine). Don't wait until you're thirsty to drink water, as you may be dehydrated even if you're not thirsty. Also try to eat foods with a high water content.

Avoid hot hours.

If you can, stay indoors. Limit movement during hot hours and be careful with physical exercise.

Take care of your clothes.

Try not to expose your skin too much to high temperatures. Choose linen and cotton clothing, which allows the skin to breathe. Always wear a hat, sunglasses and don't forget sunscreen.

Choose the cooling methods that suit you

If you don't have (or don't prefer) air conditioning, try using a humidifier or taking a shower during the hot hours. If you're going outside, make sure you have some facial spray in your bag, and always carry a thermos of cold water with you.
