Israel eliminates 9 scientists of the Iranian nuclear program

The Israeli military has confirmed the elimination of nine scientists and senior experts involved in Iran's nuclear program, during airstrikes carried out in the early hours of Friday. An Israeli army spokesman stated that the attacks were based on "accurate intelligence" gathered by military intelligence services.

In the same operation, Israel accurately hit the international airport near Tehran, Iranian weapons depots and fighter jets, as well as anti-aircraft systems which were deactivated, enabling the Israeli Air Force's air dominance in Iranian space.

Various sources report that powerful explosions were heard near the residence of Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. According to the Iranian Fars agency, two shells also hit Tehran's Mehrabad airport.

On the other hand, Iran has responded with a counterattack targeting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. So far, at least 3 dead and over 80 injured are reported in Israeli territories.

Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, after an emergency meeting with the top leaders of the army and Mossad secret service, issued a stern warning to Tehran:

"If Khamenei continues to launch rockets at Israeli citizens - Tehran will burn. He is turning his citizens into hostages of a dangerous war."
According to the Israeli military, the operation has hit more than 200 targets across Iran, including 20 senior military commanders and 7 other scientists involved in the military and atomic sector of the Iranian regime.

The situation continues to be very tense, while the international community has started calls for restraint from both sides.
