Kosovo police have conducted an operation in a village in Leposavic, North Mitrovica, where they seized weapons, ammunition, explosives and military uniforms.

According to the official announcement, the police operation has proved successful, while the seized materials will be presented to the media at an official conference.

The conference, which will be held today at 18:00 in the building of the Regional Police Directorate in Mitrovica North, will be attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, the Director General of the Kosovo Police, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha and deputy director of DRP Mitrovica North, Veton Elshani.

Authorities have not yet released details on suspected persons or the purpose of the materials, but the operation comes at a moment when security situation in northern Kosovo remains tense.
