New details have emerged about the hanging of 24-year-old Palestinian woman, Ryyan Alwan, in an apartment in Tirana.

The victim and her 49-year-old husband, Fadi Alwan, lived in Germany and flew to Albania, where they arrived at Rinas Airport on February 19. They presented themselves with Greek documents and then took a taxi to Kavaja Street, where they rented an apartment.

According to the apartment owners, the couple did not provide identification documents at the time of booking.

From the security camera review, it is noted that the victim's husband left the apartment on February 22 and that same evening left for Greece from Rinas.

It is suspected that the incident took place on February 22, 6 days ago. The 49-year-old Palestinian is suspected of having first raped her, killed her with a knife and covered her with a sheet, and then taken all of the 24-year-old's identification, phone and every personal item and fled towards Greece.
