Freedom Party MP Petrit Vasili reacted through a Facebook post regarding Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements on protecting personal data by not using VPNs.
Vasili accuses Rama of being the "chief thief of personal data," saying he is trying to deceive Albanians with advice not to install VPNs.
Vasili writes that Rama has leaked millions of Albanians' personal data, including phone numbers, addresses and other sensitive information, and that he has given this data to patronage agents to gain votes.
"Rama is telling us not to install VPNs because they will steal our personal data, while he himself steals it and uses it for political purposes," Vasili writes.
He ends by encouraging citizens to use VPNs and open TikTok to watch what they want, describing the situation as a bad example of governance by Rama.
