Earthquake in Myanmar/ Swimming pool water collapses from building and sweeps

The devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar has also had a severe impact in other countries such as China and Thailand. In Yunnan province, in southwestern China, strong tremors caused a swimming pool on the roof of a multi-storey building to collapse, sending water pouring onto the street.

A dramatic video has captured the moment dozens of people ran in panic to save themselves, as the water swept past some of them.

Similar scenes of pools turning into waterfalls were also recorded in Bangkok, Thailand, following the 7.7 magnitude earthquake. The quake has so far claimed the lives of around 1,000 people in Myanmar.
