An Albanian citizen has been sentenced to three years in prison in the United Kingdom after being caught with narcotics and accused of several other legal violations.

26-year-old Mariglen Sadiku, of no fixed abode, was stopped by British police on March 26 in the city of Cambridge, while he was in a silver Mazda vehicle that aroused suspicion among patrol officers.

During the search, police found 18 doses of cocaine ready for sale, hidden in the vehicle and in his pockets, with a value of over £650. They also seized £207 in cash, suspected to be the proceeds of crime.

The checks also revealed that Sadik was in the country without a residence permit or visa and was driving the vehicle without a driver's license and without valid insurance.

At a hearing held on May 30 at Cambridge Crown Court, he was found guilty of "possession with intent to distribute narcotics", "possession of criminal property", "driving without a license" and "driving without insurance".
