On the eve of one of the most sensitive and long-awaited challenges of the Albanian National Team, goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha has shared his thoughts on the atmosphere in the team, the importance of the match against Serbia and his message to the red and black fans. With a calm and focused tone, the red and black goalkeeper emphasizes that this challenge is not a personal test, but a collective test for the entire team, while showing respect for the emotions of the fans without losing focus on the final objective: qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. In this interview, Strakosha also talks about the qualities of the opponent, the strength of the Albanian group and the necessity to learn from the mistakes of the past.

We will face a tall national team, how do you see this test from a personal perspective?

I don't see it personally, but as a test for the whole group. We also have quality and we know we will cope well with Serbia.

How is the group experiencing this match, because it's not like all the other matches?

So far I see that the boys are well prepared with emotions like in every match, while for the fans it is different. We want to make all the fans happy with a victory.

Do you have a special message for the fans?

The fans have shown that it is not a match like we have always played, but we see it only from a sporting point of view, it is worth three points like any other match. We want to go to the World Cup and we want to realize this dream. Every Albanian has supported us from Andorra, to Serbia and England, I have no special appeal, but I feel respect for every fan of the national team.

Are you afraid of standard shots?

I know they are very good, but it is important that we are focused and that the balls do not come into the area. We have gained experience in the European Championship matches, we know our mistakes and we will do everything not to repeat them.

Which element from the opposing team would you single out?

I don't see any particular Serbian player, we prepared the match not for specific players, but as a group.
