"I acted as the investigator, prosecutor and judge myself"/ Alibej in

The shocking testimony of the repentant justice, Erion Alibej, continues at the Special Court for Organized Crime (SCOC), in the context of the sensational “Golden Bullet” file. In the last session, Alibej recounted in detail how he had built a vast network of informants and gained access to state systems such as TIMS, to monitor and control the movements of his rivals in the underworld.

"I was looking for the executioners of my family members. I acted as the investigator, prosecutor, and judge myself. Every piece of information I had, I made available to justice," Alibej declared in front of the black squads.

According to his testimony, Ardian Çollaku was the most trusted source of information. "He told me that his brother had robbed a money changer in the Kala neighborhood. Later, he also revealed to me who Dashnor Dumani was," Alibej said.

The justice minister claims that he had access to the TIMS system and used it to track the entrances and exits of people he considered dangerous. "I had data on everyone: from Çopjat, to Qosja, to Dumani. I had their entrances and exits, photos, their every movement," he said, stressing that he had lost faith in the justice institutions in Elbasan.

Another important moment of his testimony is related to a suspicious meeting he mentioned between the former Director General of the State Police, Ardi Veliu, Tonin Vocaj and Abedin Mama in Elbasan. The meeting, according to Alibej, coincided with changes in the leadership of the Police, raising suspicions of illegal interference in the chain of command.

After surrendering, Alibej said that the first person he had informed was the head of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, Leonard Palushi. Later, in detention, he also met with prosecutor Ridvan Suka, who was investigating the murders of his family members and the case of Xhoni Rusta. "I told him everything I knew. I didn't want war anymore, because behind me stood many families who had me as their only hope," he concluded.
