Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha, KMSH announces where prayers will be held

The President of the Muslim Community of Albania, Bujar Spahiu, expresses his warmest congratulations to all Albanians on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holiday.

"A message of peace, unity and hope in these prosperous, happy days!" says Spahiu, among other things.

Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on Friday morning (June 6), on the "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard in Tirana.

The announcement was made today by the Muslim Community of Albania itself, which announced, among other things, that "for all believers, Eid al-Adha will be prayed on Friday, June 6, 2025, on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, Tirana."

KMSH has also revealed the program of this celebration, which starts at 05:45 in the morning, with the prayer led by the head of the Community, Bujar Spahiu at 06:15 and until the Eid Khutbah by the imam of the "Et'hem Bey" mosque, Elton Karaj.

KMSH also highlights that traditional receptions will start at 09:00 and last until noon.

"We also inform you that the traditional receptions on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holiday will take place at the headquarters of the Albanian Cultural Council, from 09:00 to 12:00," the announcement states, while wishing all believers and Albanians "Happy Eid."

06:15 – Eid prayer, led by the Chairman of the KMSH, H. Bujar Spahiu

06:20 – Eid sermon by the imam of the “Et'hem Bey” mosque, Mr. Elton Karaj

We also inform you that the traditional receptions on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holiday will take place at the headquarters of the Albanian Cultural Council, from 09:00 to 12:00.
