Hoxha: The CEC was one of the main architects of the destruction of free voting

Member of the DP National Council, Lisandër Hoxha, has expressed his concerns regarding the integrity of the May 11 election process.

Invited to "Kafe Shqeto" on Syri TV, Hoxha called for complete transparency and regularity in the handling of ballot boxes.

According to Hoxha, there were elements of voter fraud and an uncertain situation that affected citizens' trust in the electoral system. Hoxha accused the Central Election Commission of being one of the architects of the destruction of the elections.

"We should definitely have reacted, as long as we received the film materials and saw that the candidates' votes were alienated.

The DP's mistake was that it did not support its group of candidates at the time, which it could have had on its side since the first day we requested the opening and recount in the Tirana district, but it was reflected later, perhaps by public pressure, because it was an abnormal situation in which candidates of a political force ask the Central Election Commission, specifically Kasi, to give us the right to recount the votes because we had a part of the votes stolen, so it is not a real reflection of the approved table.

In an unconstitutional response, we were told that the candidate does not have the right to request, and this was not normal since the Constitution of the Republic of Albania guarantees that every citizen who is affected by an administrative or judicial decision has the right to object or appeal it, it is the Code of Administrative Procedure, and this law should have been torn down and the problem was that it did not happen in time.

I'm hearing that they have not accepted the opening of election materials and this was not a good thing, of course we have to be careful and the CEC is an organ of the regime, a manipulator of the electoral process and for me it is one of the architects of the destruction of the elections this time.

There are not 2.4 million Albanians living in Albania and consequently 1.4 million Albanians could not have voted.

"6 months before the election process, where it is proven that the PEI device was not working, a citizen could be identified and with a card there could vote on behalf of another citizen, so the possibility of multiple voting is real and is proven if the voting list is obtained ," said Hoxha.
